Oscars 2022: How they could make history

In this year two LGBT actors were nominated to get Oscar in the same year- Kristen Stewart and Ariana DeBose. In the 1900s, LGBT cinema was some kind of a fringe interest- it means that it was considered as something not interesting for the large amount of viewers. This wasn't in the mainstream.

But now LGBT is in the spotlight more than ever. Even big celebrities as Angelina Jolie and Lady Gaga are the only open LGBT actor in singer, who were awarded before, so now it's different that in the Oscars 2022, Kristen Stewart and Ariana DeBose where nominated at the same time.

Maybe it’s the begging of the big, unite society, where all of the people are living together- they are equal(maybe I’m being irrationally optimistic). And I think it's good. The society became more tolerative and supporting to LGBT community- we are spreading awareness of the today's problems! There’s one main disadvantage- some of the people are going to far with this “supporting”. As if somebody was more worthy because they are in love with the same gender. They shouldn't reward a LGBT community only because it exists. We are the same people as everyone else.

  1. The topic and message aside, could you correct this sentence as it's utterly confusing and the grammar is broken: " Even big celebrities as Angelina Jolie and Lady Gaga are the only open LGBT actor in singer, who were awarded before, so now it's different that in the Oscars 2022, Kristen Stewart and Ariana DeBose where nominated at the same time."
