Cats don’t avoid strangers who behave badly towards their owners, unlike dogs
It is obvious that cats and dogs are different. There is a stereotype that says dogs ar more loyal than cats, and cats are more independnt than dogs. In Japan, researchers did a little experiment. Cats' and dogs' owners had a task to open a box. There were two strangers, sitting. One of them helped owner open the box and the other one was just watching. Pets were watching the whole situation. Researchers gave the the strangers food for animals. They were trying to check if any of this pets will feel different about strangers- will they feel aversion to people who have not helped? Or will they feel sympathy for the people who helped? Dogs prefered to take food from the helper, but for cats there was no difference. I don't think that this experiment should create our point of view- animals are much more complicated! They have various personalities, some of them like humans, others not.
