History of Children's Clothing Part 2

Before the 1920s, pants were connected with boys' fashion. Society required weraing long or medium-lenght skirts or dresses from girls. Especially, for a party, mass in church or simple day in school.

By the 1940s, toddler girls wore trousers in home and sometimes for casual events. But people still wanted to see girls in feminine clothes, so not every girl was brave enought to normalize wearing masculine clothes in public.

Finally, in the 1970s, dresscode evolved. Girls started wear trousers to school, standarized it. Althought, adolescent girls didn't show their independence throught wearing different clothes. Instead, they were similar garmets to their parents.they accepted current fashionstyle.

Not always, teenagers were creating cliques and subcultures. First apperanced in the 1960s, generation called "baby-boom". Reenagers clothes started to look more immature and "hippie". Adolescent girls and boys wore miniskirts and colorful over-sized t-shirts. Since that, teenage fashion became something important in modern world.
